Aztec Totem is a new mechanic for InOut, released on 13 October 2026 with a 95.5% RTP. A totem of three carved heads spins in a jungle clearing; three heads of one colour move that colour one step up its multiplier path, and the three paths add together into a pot you can cash out at any moment. The catch, and it is a large one, is that every press of Play is a fresh bet while the pot stays on the table, and three black heads burn what you have built. We played three rounds at 12 cents, lost the first to two sets of black heads, cashed the other two for 48 and 88 cents, and then bought the bonus for $12 and watched 21 free spins carry the pot to $16.52.

Three heads, three paths, one pot

The rules fit on one card. Press Play, the three heads of the totem land one by one, and a set of three in the same colour advances that colour’s path by a step. Mixed colours do nothing. Green is the long path and ends in a bonus; yellow and red are shorter and, once finished, pay a fixed extra for each repeat match. Per the card, the earlier you cash out the safer your winnings are, and that waiting raises the potential but “increases the risk of losing progress”, which is the black head.

Red1.55x, 4.85x, 10x+7x for every further red match

The base screen shows the green path only as far as 85x and then a BONUS tile, with scroll arrows at both ends of each bar; the two further steps, 133x and 200x, appeared on the bonus screen when the bar scrolled. Reaching the final green stage starts what the rules call the Bonus Multiplier: a random multiplier and a random number of Free Multiplier Spins, awarded automatically, each spin able to lift the payout before it ends. We never got there. Our best green run in 21 free spins stopped at 85x.

Every spin is a bet, and the pot does not reset

This is the part the rules card leaves out and the balance makes plain. Each press of Play took 12 cents off the balance: $999,979.76, then .64, .52, .40 and on down, eight presses for our first round and $0.96 spent. The pot built by those presses stayed on the CASHOUT button between them. In Chicken Road one bet buys the whole crossing; here a long climb is a long series of bets, and the bet history records each one separately, with x0.00 on every spin but the one you cash out on.

The pot itself is easy to check. CASHOUT shows the bet times the sum of the current step of each colour, cut to the cent. The five readings we took all fit.

Steps litSumCASHOUT at $0.12
Yellow 2.5x2.5$0.30
Yellow 2.5x + red 1.55x4.05$0.48 (0.486)
Red 4.85x4.85$0.58 (0.582)
Green 3.9x + red 1.55x5.45$0.65 (0.654)
Yellow 2.5x + red 4.85x7.35$0.88 (0.882)

Only the current step counts, not the ones passed. Red at 4.85x is worth 4.85 bets, not 1.55 plus 4.85, so a path is a ladder where you stand on one rung at a time. A second button, PART CASHOUT, lights once any colour is past its first step: it offers the gain of the last step on each colour, the current step minus the one below it, leaving you a rung lower with the round still open. With red on 4.85x it offered $0.39 (3.3 bets) against a full $0.58; with yellow 2.5x and red 4.85x it offered $0.69 against $0.88. We read it several times but could not press it, because the DOM button under the label would not take our click, so what it leaves behind after a press is unverified.

Round one: eight spins and two burns

Spin one landed three red heads for 1.55x and an 18-cent pot. Spins two, three and four landed mixed colours. Spin five was red again, 4.85x and $0.58 on the button. Spin six brought three black heads: the sky went to night, the totem turned purple with pink eyes, and the red path dropped back to 1.55x, 18 cents again. Rule five says the last multiplier is burned, and that is what it meant: one step, the most recent one.

Aztec Totem red path 4.85x with cashout 0.58

Spin seven was three green heads, 3.9x, so the pot read $0.65 for 5.45 bets. Spin eight was black heads again, and this time the burn took everything: both bars went dark, the CASHOUT button emptied, the Play button came back and the history shows eight bets at x0.00. Whether a second burn always clears the board or whether burning green 3.9x happened to leave nothing worth keeping, one round cannot say; it is the rule we would most like InOut to write down.

Rounds two and three: 48 and 88 cents

Round two took three spins: yellow 2.5x, a blank, then red 1.55x for a 4.05 sum and $0.48 on the button, which we pressed. Three bets of 12 cents in, 48 cents out, and the history shows the last of them at x4.05 on 0.12, with two x0.00 rows above it. Round three took twelve: yellow on the third spin, red on the ninth, red again on the twelfth for 4.85x, and CASHOUT at $0.88 for $1.44 of bets. The balance ran $999,982.12 to $999,983.00.

Aztec Totem cashout 0.48 yellow and red lit

Those three rounds are the base game in miniature. Over 23 spins we staked $2.76 and took back $1.36, and the only way to have done better would have been to cash the 65-cent pot before spin eight, which is the decision the game asks on every press.

Buy Bonus: $12 for 21 spins with no black heads

The stone tablet on the left opens a single card: 10 to 25 free spins, black heads removed, for 100 times the bet, $12 at 12 cents. A stepper under the card rescales the price. The art shows a FREE X SPINS tablet beside a black head crossed out in red, and that crossing-out is the real purchase, since without black heads nothing can burn the pot while the spins run.

Aztec Totem buy bonus card 10-25 free spins

After the click a stone reel rolled through 24, 25, 21, 10 and 11 and stopped on 21. The sky turned sunset orange, flames rose around the totem and the pillars, a crossed-out black head sat beside a FREE GAMES LEFT counter, and the green bar now showed its 133x and 200x steps. The totem spun on its own; our only job was reading the buttons.

Aztec Totem free spins reel stops on 21

Red reached its 10x ceiling with eleven spins left, and from then on every further red triple flashed +$0.84, which is seven bets, straight into the pot: five of them by the end. Green climbed 3.9x, 12.5x, 28x, 52x, 85x and stopped two steps short of the bonus tile. Yellow managed 2.5x and, on the last spin, 7.7x.

The counter readings below are the CASHOUT button during the bonus; it stays greyed out, because the free spins cannot be stopped early, and the pot is paid in full when the counter hits zero.

Add the four parts, 85 + 7.7 + 10 + 35, and the sum is 137.7; at $0.12 that is $16.524, cut to $16.52. The SUPER WIN screen printed 137.67x, which is $16.52 divided back by the bet, so the game rounds the money first and the multiplier second. The history row reads 12, x1.37, 16.52: a profit of $4.52 on the ticket, and the balance read $999,983.44 from the first free spin onward, the result credited before the animation played.

Aztec Totem free spins +$0.84 red bonus add

What the card cannot promise is the top of the green bar. Twenty-one spins of three-head rolls produced five green triples, and the bonus tile needs seven. A 25-spin roll with a run of green is the route to the Bonus Multiplier, and we would guess it is rare; the printed figures end at 200x, with no number attached to the bonus itself.

95.5%, a $20,000 bet, a $30,000 cap and a tab called PepeRoad

InOut’s page gives Aztec Totem a 95.5% RTP, half a point under the two Halloween editions that shipped the same day and level with MegaBlock Empire. Inside the demo the Game rules panel allows bets from $0.12 up to $20,000 and caps a win at $30,000, only 1.5 of the largest bets, so the 200x green step is reachable only at small stakes. The browser tab of the demo still carries the title PepeRoad, a working name the client was never updated from.

Volatility is not rated, and nothing on the page or in the game says how often a triple lands. Our own count is 23 base spins with six triples (two yellow, three red, one green) and two black sets, and 21 free spins with roughly a dozen, which is a small sample from a game that was four days old.

Speed, autoplay and a ticker of other people’s cash-outs

Sound and Music are off by default and the spacebar toggle is on. A SPEED box on the control bar read NORMAL throughout and is the one setting we did not try. A Live wins line in the top-left corner scrolled other players’ results beside an Online counter that sat between 5,500 and 6,000 during our session, the same ticker the crane games carry; there is no switch for it. The autoplay button next to Play would make the per-spin betting less of a chore in long climbs.

Totem heads on a small screen

The demo is a browser page and the studio ships no installable version, so an Aztec Totem APK in a search result is somebody else’s file. On a phone the three bars stack under the totem and the two cash-out buttons sit side by side above the bet; the part-cash-out figure is small, so read it before tapping, because the two buttons do different things.

A crash game that charges by the spin

Of everything InOut has released since the tower games, this is the most interesting, because the risk is split in two: the black heads can take a step or the whole pot, and your own patience costs a bet a press. The paths are generous at the top and stingy at the bottom, the part cash-out is a good idea we could not test, and the bonus buy delivered a profit on our one ticket while showing how far the green bonus tile is. It shares a release day with Zeus Flip, a plain slot by comparison; this is the one of the two to spend an evening on.

Paths, burns and the bonus buy

How does Aztec Totem work?
Each spin lands three carved heads. Three of one colour move that colour one step up its multiplier path; the pot on the CASHOUT button is the bet times the sum of the current step of each colour. You can cash out at any time, and three black heads burn the last multiplier.
Does one bet cover a whole round?
No. Every press of Play is a separate bet, 12 cents at the default stake, while the pot carries over between presses. The bet history logs each spin on its own, with x0.00 on every spin except the one you cash out on.
What are the multiplier paths?
Green 3.9x, 12.5x, 28x, 52x, 85x, 133x, 200x and then the Bonus Multiplier; yellow 2.5x, 7.7x, 16x, 27.5x, 44x and then +20.5x per extra match; red 1.55x, 4.85x, 10x and then +7x per extra match. Only the current step of each colour counts.
What do the black heads do?
Three black heads burn the last multiplier. In our first round the first set dropped red from 4.85x back to 1.55x; the second set, two spins later, cleared both lit bars and ended the round with nothing.
What does PART CASHOUT do?
It offers the gain of the last step on each colour (current step minus the step below) and leaves the round open a rung lower: $0.39 against a full $0.58 with red on 4.85x. We could not get the button to take a click in the demo, so the state it leaves behind is unverified.
How much is the bonus buy and what did it pay?
100x the bet, $12 at 12 cents, for 10 to 25 free spins with the black heads removed. Our reel picked 21 spins, the paths reached green 85x, yellow 7.7x and red 10x with five +7x adds, and the pot was $16.52, logged as x1.37 on the $12 ticket.
Which RTP does Aztec Totem run at?
95.5%, the figure InOut publishes for it (released 13 October 2026). Inside the demo, the rules panel adds a $0.12 to $20,000 bet range and caps a single win at $30,000; volatility is not rated.
Is there an Aztec Totem APK?
No. It is a browser page on phones and desktops alike; InOut publishes no app, so an APK carrying the name came from a third party.
