From the igloo to the first orca
Each round starts with two choices, the stake and the difficulty, and after that it is one hop at a time. A cleared plate locks in a higher multiplier, and before every hop you decide again whether to take the money or try for the next bauble. The rhythm is the original’s; the road is ice and the danger swims.
The opening screen puts the chicken beside its igloo in a Santa hat, with the multipliers ahead shown as locked baubles - 1.18x, 1.46x, 1.83x and up on Hard. Orca fins cut through the water between the plates. The bet field, four quick-stake chips and the Easy-to-Hardcore selector run along the bottom.
Plates you have passed turn into gold coins on the left, and the CASHOUT figure rises with each one. In our round the chicken reached 2.31x on a €200 stake, so the button read 462. CASH OUT banks that amount; GO puts all of it on the next bauble.
The orca is the only threat. At any point before the last plate one can break the surface, grab the chicken and finish the round, taking the stake along with it. Each extra plate is another chance for that to happen, which is why cashing out early so often beats holding on.

Easy is a long, slow walk to about 23x. Hardcore needs only eighteen plates, but chaining them is so unlikely that its seven-figure top multiplier works more like a lottery ticket than a target. Medium, with twenty-five plates and a roof near 2,457x, is where most players settle: the ceiling is worth having and a session does not end in seconds.
95.5% and a €20,000 wall
Ice pays 95.5%, a little under the original’s 98% and still fair by casino standards. The rate does not move between modes, because difficulty changes volatility rather than return. At the top, the cap matters more than the ladder. Winnings stop at about €20,000 per round, so on a big stake the cash limit arrives long before the 3,608,855x printed for Hardcore could be paid. Ice has no bonus round of its own, so “bonus” means one of two things here. In the demo above the game gives you play credits for nothing, enough to try every mode and feel how much rougher Hard and Hardcore are than Easy.
